About Us

Moore Drug Store, Inc. was founded by Don Moore in 1955 as a neighborhood Rexall pharmacy. In 1975, Moore’s began providing home oxygen and medical equipment.

In the late 1980s, the home medical equipment and supplies grew into its own department, run by Don’s daughter, Janet Moore, RN, BSN. When Don retired in 2001 and sold the pharmacy portion of the business to CVS. At that time, Janet took over the business and the home medical equipment and supplies department became Moore’s Home Health & Medical Supply.

Janet retired in 2022. Her daughter, Sarah Cotner, grew up in the pharmacy and worked there part-time through junior, high school, and college. She joined the company full-time in 1998 and took over the business in 2019. Sarah enjoys carrying on the Moore legacy of helping provide the residents of Howard and the surrounding counties with access to medical equipment and supplies to keep them healthy and independent in their own homes. She is active in community organizations and is currently the President of Project Access, a local non-profit dedicated to providing access to healthcare.
